Site Visit - Kadugama School and Anuradhapura Hospital

In August, I visted Sri Lanka and had the opportunity to visit the sites of two of our programs - the Sustainable Community Food program at the Kadugama School and the Thelessemia Support Program at the Anuradhapura Hospital. Here are some of my learnings.

These communities are really struggling. Many of these children have so little, and food every day is a challenge. At the hospital, children come in for treatment whose lives are likely to not reach past the teenage years. And yet there are people, doctors, teachers, the community, and parents, who shower these children with love and every bit of support that they can provide. It is our great pleasure at Thrive Sri Lanka to work with these communities and do whatever we can to help them thrive.
